About The Space
Let's Get You Booked In
Villa Kavaya oozes old-world charm and elegance. This enchanting Bali retreat is tucked between two sacred rivers and rolling rice fields in the small hillside village of Pererenan. The tranquil surroundings of this four-bedroom luxury villa in Canggu will greatly suit a family or a group of friends looking to combine picturesque views with beach-side fun, sophisticated dining and other worldly delights.
The villa’s colonial-style interior is reminiscent of Bali’s 1930s golden age when the island’s magic was first discovered by western travelers and artists. Built along ancient feng shui principles that maximise geometric harmony and energy flow, it was designed to amplify the prosperity, health and good fortune of anyone who steps inside.
The monumental open-plan living, dining and kitchen area lies under a lofty alang-alang thatched roof and has teak wood flooring throughout. The solid 10-seater dining table and comfortable sofas perfectly complement the tropical outdoor views. From Sumatran carpets to whale bone fragments, Villa Kavaya’s antique furniture and ornaments are worthy of a guided tour.
The villa’s helpful staff really are the cherry on this delightfully tasteful cake. The villa manager is extremely knowledgeable, and along with the housekeeper and two butlers, will tend to your every need.
Air conditioned and fan-cooled living and dining room with 46-in TV, table for 10; fully-equipped open-plan kitchen; wide furnished porch with outdoor seating, dining and hammocks; poolside balé with day beds and picnic table.

Villa manager; private chef; housekeepers; gardener; villa attendants and security guards. Additional staff (babysitters, masseuses) on request at extra charge.
Villa Kavaya’s large atrium entrance boasts a stunning water feature complete with brightly-coloured Japanese Koi carp. The gentle sound of flowing water provides a lovely ‘Zen’ ambiance throughout the villa’s living areas.
A huge porch runs along the length of the main building and oozes 1930s romance. With a choice of rattan chaises longues, a set of original art deco armchairs, and two double hammocks – this is a wonderful spot for sunset cocktails or late-night stargazing. At one end of the porch, a round solid wood table is perfect for alfresco dining.
Villa Kavaya is surrounded by vast tropical grounds, gracefully designed to resemble an old Balinese palace garden. Its meticulously kept lawn is a great place for morning yoga, playing a game of badminton, or simply admiring the lush botanical plants and trees.
The 18 x 6 metre infinity pool is ideal for children to splash around in and long enough for adults to swim laps. It is beautifully shaded by two 150-year-old frangipani trees. An impressive wooden balé at one end of the pool offers plenty of comfortable seating on day beds and bean bags, and provides an excellent hangout for escaping the midday sun, or for enjoying a late afternoon barbecue.
